The interval no one owns
When you have surgery in Australia, your surgeon manages the procedure. Your physiotherapist manages your return to function. In between sit the weeks at home, where most of the healing happens. Timeframes vary from person to person. That window often isn’t anyone’s clinical responsibility.
We built Baseline Medical to hold that window.
What we do
Care begins with a real-time video or phone consultation. From there, we set up a structured monitoring plan, review it on a schedule, and keep a clear record of each check-in. Recovery becomes a process you can follow. You have clear reference points along the way.
Your clinician may recommend a monitoring plan, further review, a referral, or no treatment. It depends on your circumstances. We work alongside your GP and surgeon, with your consent.
Why we write
This journal shares how we think about recovery: protocol design, scheduled check-ins, structured rehabilitation, and telehealth review. We write for patients trying to understand what good recovery looks like. We also write for clinicians who want to see how we structure ours.
New articles publish fortnightly.
Healing rarely follows a straight line. That is why we watch it. Recovery, supervised.
This article is general information, not medical advice. Recovery timeframes and outcomes vary based on your individual circumstances. Monitoring does not guarantee a particular outcome. It does not replace your surgeon, GP or emergency care. See the important information in the footer for how Baseline Medical works and its limits.
