Doctor-led recovery care, after surgery and injury.
A structured program of scheduled doctor and nurse reviews, recovery monitoring and clinical oversight, for the weeks after your procedure. More than a single consult.
Recovery, supervised.
Structured recovery support for every stage.
Wherever you are in recovery, structured medical monitoring designed for your procedure or injury.
Recovery shouldn't be a guessing game.
Your surgeon focuses on the operation. Your physio focuses on the rehab. Your GP looks after your general health. The weeks in between, at home and unsure, are where people are left on their own. That is the part we hold.
- One point of medical accountability across your recovery
- Scheduled check-ins, so your questions reach a clinician
- Coordination with your surgeon, GP and other treating doctors, with your consent
Structured recovery support,
supervised by a clinician.
We support Australians through the weeks after surgery and injury, the part of recovery that usually gets left to chance. Structured monitoring, clear answers, and the same clinician guiding you the whole way.
Start your recovery protocolAre you experiencing any of the following?
There is no direct equivalent to this kind of care, so many patients are left to work recovery out alone. If any of these sound familiar, a clinical assessment can help.
See if recovery support is appropriate- Recovery taking longer than you expected
- Persistent swelling after surgery
- Scar tissue that feels firm or uncomfortable
- Discomfort that is affecting day-to-day activities
- Difficulty returning to normal function
- Questions about whether your recovery is on track
- Limited follow-up support after your procedure
- Uncertainty about what is normal and what is not
A structured clinical assessment can help you understand whether what you are experiencing is expected, and whether additional recovery support is appropriate for you. It does not diagnose a condition or guarantee any outcome.
How to get started
What brings you to Baseline?
Select all that apply:
Step 1
Start with a few questions
Tell us a little about your surgery or injury. It takes a couple of minutes, with no commitment to begin.
Your plan, mapped together.
Step 2
Your first consultation
Meet your clinician on a real-time video or phone consultation. Together, you map out your recovery plan and what to expect next.
The same clinician, from your first consult to your last check-in.
Step 3
Ongoing care and monitoring
Your clinician reviews your progress at scheduled check-ins and adjusts your plan as your recovery changes. You know what to watch for, and we are here between appointments.
Why recovery deserves
medical structure.
Scheduled monitoring, real-time consultations, and one clinician who knows your recovery from day one.
This is what changes when the weeks after surgery are managed, not left to chance.
One clinician holds the medical side of your recovery, from your first consultation onward
monitoring from the start
We start reviewing your recovery from the first day, with clear signs to watch for between check-ins
defined check-in points
Your recovery is mapped into clear stages and reviewed with you at each one.
consultations, every time
Your consultations are real-time video or phone appointments with a clinician, never a questionnaire alone.
telehealth recovery support
Recovery monitoring you can access from anywhere in Australia, including after surgery overseas.
Care that stays joined up.
Most recovery is split across a surgeon, a GP and a physio, and the weeks in between are where you are left guessing. Baseline Medical is the one place that joins it up.
- A clinician keeping an eye on your recovery, not a forum at 2am
- One plan and one point of contact, start to finish
- Regular check-ins that pick up your questions early
- Telehealth support, wherever you are in Australia
- We liaise with your surgeon, GP and physio, with your consent
- Your check-ins documented, so your recovery is clearly tracked

Recovery & Protocols
Your protocol maps your recovery as a clear sequence: the phases to expect, the check-in points along the way, and the signs that mean you should be reviewed sooner. It is set up before recovery begins so each stage has a clear reference point. Individual results vary based on your circumstances.
Your GP looks after your general health and any acute issues. Baseline Medical focuses on the recovery period itself: setting up your monitoring plan, reviewing your progress on a schedule, and keeping a clear record across the weeks after your procedure. We work alongside your GP, with your consent, not instead of them.
We review your recovery on a schedule and give you clear signs to watch for between check-ins. If something needs attention, we help you reach the right care and, with your consent, coordinate with your surgeon, GP or other treating doctor. For anything urgent, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Getting Started
Ideally before. We set up your plan ahead of time so the first day of recovery is already mapped. That said, we can begin with you at any point during your recovery.
It depends on your procedure and how your recovery progresses. We set this out with you at your first consultation, rather than fixing an arbitrary length of time.
No referral is required. You can book your initial consultation directly. We coordinate with your existing medical team as needed, with your consent.
Telehealth & International
Yes. Our telehealth monitoring is designed for Australians recovering at home, including those returning from surgery overseas. We provide recovery reviews by video and phone and coordinate with your local providers, with your consent.
Baseline Medical is a telehealth service, available Australia-wide by video and phone. Telehealth is not suitable for every concern. If a hands-on assessment is needed, your clinician will tell you and help you arrange a local in-person review.
Get Started
Your recovery deserves a medical process.
Book your initial consultation. You leave with a clear recovery plan and one clinician guiding the weeks ahead.
Baseline Medical supplements your in-person surgical and medical care. It does not replace your surgeon, GP, or emergency services.
Recovery timeframes and outcomes vary based on your individual circumstances. Monitoring does not guarantee a particular outcome.
